PowderQuest

PowderQuest Global Ski Adventures Since 1999

Skiing and snowboarding are more than simply pastimes at PowderQuest; they are a way of life. Every year, our enthusiastic office staff and committed professional guides put their all into each tour, guaranteeing amazing experiences. As an adventure lifestyle company, we're always pushing the boundaries to keep our clients excited, whether it's our well-liked ski excursions in Japan or our secluded backcountry treks in Patagonia and Norway.

Why Travel With PowderQuest

Whether you're traveling alone, with a significant other, or with a group of friends or family, PowderQuest experiences are made for everyone. Two qualified guides lead each trip, provide dinners, and watch out for your safety. Smaller groups allow for more skiing and less environmental damage. World-class certifications (IFMGA, ACMG, AMGA, AAGM) are held by our backcountry team, and we provide trip types to accommodate a range of skill levels and tastes. Your trip is smooth, secure, and fully immersive since we have multilingual guides and personnel in every nation we visit.

A Taste of the World

One of the highlights of any PowderQuest trip is the food. Guests often say they’ve enjoyed some of the best meals of their lives with us. From homecooked organic dishes by local hosts to family-owned restaurants carefully handpicked by our team, each evening brings new culinary delights. Dining isn’t just about eating, it’s about culture, connection, and sharing the table with fellow adventurers.

Authentic Cultural Immersion

Beyond the slopes, great travel adventures may be had. You'll have the opportunity to meaningfully engage with local cultures through PowderQuest. Meet gauchos and learn about their customs in Argentina. Share the stroke with local powder seekers in Japan. Along the journey, engage in genuine conversation, learn the language, and share tales to get a fresh outlook on life.

Apres-Ski & Nightlife

After epic days on the mountain, you can choose to unwind or keep the adventure going. Relax in cozy accommodations, sip Fernet and learn tango in Argentina, or explore the whiskey bars of Japan. Each destination offers unique après-ski opportunities, ensuring your nights are just as memorable as your days.

Relaxing Accommodations

Our carefully selected lodgings are designed for comfort after long, adventure-filled days. Most trips include accommodations with private baths and options for double, twin share, or single occupancy. Many locations also offer spas, massage services, and other amenities to help you recharge. For remote backcountry trips, rustic yet comfortable options bring you closer to the wild beauty of the mountains.

Our Journey Since 1999

David Owen, the company's creator, started creating the plan for PowderQuest in August 1998 while working from a cold log house in Pucón, Chile. Our first guided trips in Patagonia set the tone for everything that came after the company's 1999 U.S. corporate launch.

Since then, we have helped thousands of enthusiastic skiers and snowboarders, including teams from well-known international companies like Dakine and Smith Optics. In response to the demand from our alumni, we opened offices in Japan in 2014 and, more recently, Canada and Norway.

Conclusion Join the Quest for Powder

For almost 20 years, PowderQuest has been about more than simply skiing; it's about discovery, community, and life-changing experiences both on and off the mountain. Every element is thoughtfully planned to produce lifelong experiences, whether it's riding fresh lines in Patagonia, basking in volcanic hot springs in Chile, or sipping sake in a Japanese izakaya.
