PowderQuest

PowderQuest 25 Years of Ski & Snowboard Adventures Worldwide

A Passion for Guiding Since 1998

PowderQuest ski and snowboard excursions have been offering incredible mountain experiences all around the world for more than 25 years. Founded in 1998 by David Owen in a cold log cabin in Pucón, Chile, the company has expanded into a global adventure lifestyle enterprise. With its initial guided excursions in Patagonia in 1999, PowderQuest was formally introduced in the USA, and we haven't looked back since.

Our enthusiastic office staff and knowledgeable guides still share their passion for travel, skiing, and snowboarding today. In order to keep our visitors happy, we push the envelope every year by providing them with innovative itineraries, exclusive cultural experiences, and professionally led activities.

Global Ski Adventures From Japan to Patagonia

From the famous powder of Japan to the untamed wilderness of Patagonia, the fjords of Norway, and even the slopes of Canada, our excursions take us to some of the greatest places on earth. PowderQuest specializes in creating experiences that strike a mix between comfort, culture, and adventure, whether you're exploring isolated backcountry ski touring in South America or pursuing flawless turns on a guided ski trip in Japan.

Culinary Experiences and Inviting Dinners

The cuisine is one feature that our customers frequently compliment us on. From carefully chosen family-owned eateries to organic home cooked dinners provided by welcoming hosts, PowderQuest visitors always enjoy amazing meals every evening. Many visitors claim that their eating experiences at PowderQuest have been some of the greatest of their life, and that sharing meals together fosters a sense of community.

Immersing in Local Culture

The adventure includes more than just skiing and snowboarding. Whether it's conversing with Argentine gauchos, sharing tales with Japanese powder hounds, or discovering new customs in Europe, our travels provide chances for genuine cultural immersion. Making connections with locals gives you new insights and a greater understanding of the cultures that contribute to each place's distinctiveness when you return home.

Après-Ski and Evening Entertainment

The adventure continues when the lifts close. PowderQuest offers a variety of après-ski activities, such as visiting whiskey bars in Japan and learning to dance while sipping fernet in Argentina. Every location provides a unique nightlife and cultural entertainment experience, making every day as memorable as the first.

Comfortable and Relaxing Accommodations

Relax in well-chosen lodgings after exhausting days on the slopes. Comfortable accommodations with private toilets and the choice of double, twin-share, or single occupancy rooms are available on the majority of PowderQuest trips. Numerous establishments also provide massages, spas, and other facilities, making them ideal for resting before spending more time in the mountains.

From Patagonia to Japan and Beyond

PowderQuest has taken thousands of skiers and snowboarders on incredible snow adventures since leading our first Patagonia ski excursions in 1999. Notable partners include Smith Optics and Dakine. In 2014, ski excursions to Japan were added due to the great demand from alumni guests; other locations in Canada and Norway followed. We keep expanding with each season, providing new itineraries that blend cultural exploration with the excitement of skiing and snowboarding.

Why Travel with PowderQuest?

With a staff of enthusiastic guides, more than 20 years of expertise, and well planned itineraries, PowderQuest ski and snowboard tours cater to tourists seeking more than simply a ski vacation. We provide comfort, gastronomic pleasures, adventure, and cultural immersion in some of the most famous snow places on earth.
