How to Choose the Right PowderQuest Ski & Snowboard Adventure

It is crucial to be ready for a guided PowderQuest experience in terms of equipment, fitness, and skill level. Knowing the trip criteria is essential to getting the most out of your experience, whether your goal is to challenge your abilities on a backcountry tour, explore the greatest powder inside resort bounds, or enroll in a women's ski camp.

Here is a summary of our available trip options, equipment requirements, and ability levels to aid in your decision-making.

Who Can Join PowderQuest Trips?

Beginners and Low Intermediates

Beginners and low-level intermediates are not the target audience for PowderQuest guided tours. We advise reserving one of our self-guided ski resort packages if you're still gaining confidence. These let you learn from qualified ski school instructors while exploring the mountains at your own speed.

Advanced to Expert Skiers and Riders

The majority of our guided trips are intended for experienced skiers and snowboarders who can manage off-piste obstacles, ungroomed terrain, and fluctuating snow conditions. We frequently divide our tours by level because we have two guides per group and many specialists join us. Still, waiting could occur from time to time. A private group excursion might be your best bet if you'd want a speedier pace.

What if You’ve Never Toured Before?

Don't worry if this is your first time touring; we welcome newcomers on our Backcountry Discovery and certain Lift-Assisted tours. Our guides can help you get started as long as you are a skilled skier or snowboarder who is physically fit and at ease in all types of snow.

Special Experiences: From Tromsø Skiing to Women’s Ski Camps

  • Standard trips aren't all that PowderQuest offers. We also create one-of-a-kind events that combine adventure, culture, and community.

  • Skiing in Tromsø, Norway: Take in the fjord-filled scenery and the Northern Lights.

  • Women's Ski Camp: An encouraging setting with knowledgeable female guides to help you develop your confidence and backcountry skills.

  • Experience the renowned Hokkaido powder and rich cultural traditions in the region of perpetual snow by snowboarding in Japan.

Final Thoughts

Matching your skill level, fitness level, and objectives with the appropriate trip type is the key to selecting the ideal ski or snowboard vacation with PowderQuest. PowderQuest offers a variety of options to make the most of your trip, whether you're wanting to snowboard in Japan, go on a Tromsø skiing adventure, attend a women's ski camp, or chase powder lines in Chile.
