Wide, well-pitched groomers make it a great choice for families with mixed abilities. Even from the Marte chair, long cruising runs reward skiers with spectacular views of the Las Leñas Valley. The ski and snowboard school features multilingual instructors, many with experience in Aspen, Vail, and Andorra ensuring quality lessons for all levels.

Beginners & Non-Skiers

The base area offers several Poma lifts and gentle, wide slopes perfect for first-timers. Group and private lessons are available for those ready to learn. For non-skiers, options include shopping in Pirámide, trying your luck at the local casino, or relaxing at the Piscis Hotel & Spa. That said, a full week here without skiing might feel a bit repetitive. If non-ski activities are a priority, Bariloche with its vibrant town and nearby ski resort offers a better mix.

Advanced & Expert Terrain

This is where Las Leñas truly earns its reputation. With more skiable terrain than Whistler, 14 lifts, and vast above-treeline landscapes, it’s a paradise for advanced and expert skiers. Add in snowcat-assisted skiing and straightforward access to backcountry touring and splitboarding, and you have one of the ultimate steep-skiing destinations in the Andes.
